L'Arche Kent is a preferred provider by Kent County Council Social Services, is regulated by the Care Quality Commission and is very highly regarded locally.
However, L'Arche seeks to be more than this:
- In a world where choice and independence is so highly prized, L'Arche seeks to ensure that each person we support has the opportunity and skills to live as independently as possible, in the way they choose for themselves.
- In a world in which loneliness and isolation is so commonplace, L'Arche Kent ensures that every person has access to relationships of depth and meaning where all are valued, celebrated and enjoyed for who they are.
As a provider registered with the care Quality Commission, L'Arche Kent supports people through residential care services, supported living services and through activities (day services). We support people in community houses, shared houses and in their own accommodation.
Beyond all this however, the Kent community is a network of people across Canterbury and Kent who connected to one another. Some are people with learning disabilities, some are assistants, some are volunteers whilst others are friends. We celebrate life together, have fun and above all are concerned for one another.
