This role has lots of variety - on an average day you might be carrying out a fire alarm test at our care home, organising for decorators to have access staff accommodation and getting quotes from contractors. You will be dealing with all kinds of people – from building contractors to volunteers who cut the grass, from Support Assistants reporting repairs to the people with learning disabilities who live in our community.

Working with the Head of HR and Operations and the Community Leader, you will also assess the future needs of the community, and you will then be responsible for project-managing the agreed building and refurbishment projects.

L’Arche is a vibrant, joyful place to be. We’re part of an international federation of L’Arche communities in over 100 countries worldwide. Founded in the Christian tradition, L'Arche Communities welcome people of all faiths and none: our vision is a world where all belong. Whilst knowledge and experience of managing facilities or housing is desirable, far more essential is an enthusiasm for our values, the ability to inspire others and a willingness to be part of our friendly, professional and committed team.
